Hello! I just set up the Dwarf Jade 名媛直播 and now I'm wondering about the lighting for the tree. The Make a 名媛直播 Tree video stated that after repotting the bonsai tree, it needs to remain in shade for a month. I plan to use a LED growing lighting for the tree but wonder if it would be too much of direct lighting for the first month?

Sunlight is enough, wether you should keep it indoor or outdoors depends on your climate, if you live in a temperate or cold climate the tree
should be kept indoors, but if you live in a warm climate like me it should be kept outdoors.

If you decide to keep it indoors putting it next to a window sill with direct sunlight is enough light, same if you put it outdoors. In short sunlight is enough to keep it happy.

Thanks for the tip, although I realized I didn't do a good job of giving details in my first post. (1) It's an indoor tree, and (2) my home doesn't get enough natural light and there is only one place that gets 3-4 hours of sunlight however I do not want to put the tree in that area due to the current set up. The area I want to put the tree barely gets natural light, hence my plan for getting a grow light for the tree.

So the question is if led could be too much light? Yes, it can be too much, but it can also be too little. Depends on how strong led light you use.

Gotcha.. I suppose I can get a lighting that is adjustable so I could start with somewhat low setting. Thanks guys!

Dwarf jades can take a lot of light. They grow in south africa in full sun. I am sure not many led plant light can beat that. However, its a good idea to slowly let it adjust to increased light. You dont need electronically adjusted light, just hight adjustable. Just start with the light a meter from the plant and slowly put it closer. From 1 meter to direct under the light increase intensity the plant gets by 4 times.
