Hi all, I'm after some help.

I've attached some pictures of my Chinese Box Tree....its fair to say its seen better days. I watered it yesterday but is it too late for this one? It's had yellow leaves for months now and the branches are dry and yellow also. I'd love to save it but don't know what to do. Any advice would be appreciated.

Is it summer or winter? If its summer, spring or autumn the box tree must be kept outdoors, in winter it can be brought indoors but still prefers outdoors.

Hi, thank you for your reply.

It is Spring where I am now but it has been like this since November last year (Winter). It is kept indoors on a window sill, I don't have any outside space.
From the pictures, do you think it can be saved if I find somewhere to put it outside? Has it gone past being revived? It looks pretty dead but hasn't lost any leaves...

I'm sorry but the tree isn't looking to good, if your extremely lucky maybye you could bring it back if you put it outdoors, try not to fertalize it, never fertalize stressed trees. Also avoid reppoting the tree until its better, keep watering every day. After that you will just have to let time tell.

One good way to test if the tree still has a chance is to cut one of the branches and see if
there's green inside the branch, if its completely brown and dead on the inside im afraid its to late, but if there's still green in the branch you can bring it back to life. Good luck and I hope your tree gets better!

Good luck and I hope your tree gets better and comes back to life!

I really appreciate your feedback - thank you for taking the time to respond.

I'll cut one of the branches and see how it's looking. Fingers crossed....
