First time tree grower or doing any planting what so ever. Attempting to grow what i think os a Japanese black pine. I bought the kit on amazon. I used the damp paper towel method and a seed actually sprouted, it grew to about 2 inches, i repotted it with out damaging the roots. I have been watering it every time the soil seems to look/feel dry, and i am also using a growing lamp. (I am trying to grow it indoors). Anyways i will attach pictures showing the current state of my plant. Please help with any tips and please tell me if its doing ok.
Thanks again in advance for any tips.

It must be grown out-of-doors. Make sure it is growing in a suitable substrate: very airy and free-draining.

I got the same kit as you.
Shortly after this photo was taken it died for no discernable reason whatsoever. Have bought a 5 year old chinese elm instead.

Most trees out in the woods produce thousands of seeds every year. If every pine seed sprouted my yard would be nothing but pines. Instead, out of several thousand seeds, only a few hundred sprout, and usually only two or three of them grow tall enough for me to pull them up. Maples are the same; elms are the same.
It really is not surprising that one seed sprouts, grows an inch or a few centimeters, and then dies. It happens every year in nature.

Happens even more often indoors. While nature might not produce more than 2% healthy trees, that figure is less than that for indoor experiments.
