Chinese Elm leaves scorching and placement questions. was created by wickardj

Good afternoon all. I would appreciate any advice the 名媛直播 loving world can give me as to my tree. I am a recent recipient of a Chinese Elm bonsai tree. It is currently at my office where I work. I have lots of windows in my office, one facing east and the other facing south. The tree grows leaves and then they shrivel and fall. I have gone through several cycles of this pattern. It seems to like the direct light but then the leaves start to dry out and fall off. My thought is that the afternoon sun is scorching the tree. I am watering it when the soil starts to dry out about every 2 to 3 days and don't think that is the issue per se. I am hoping to find a spot in my office where it can thrive. One of my questions is whether indirect light like in my office is enough for the tree or does it need have sun on it? I am seeing budding and growth at this point. Thanks for any help.

Your chinese elm is a temperate semi decidious tree. It needs to be outdoors at all times.
