Ficus is quite good on backbudding. However you cannot shose for yourself where it happens. The tree will shose for you and it is your task to turn the situation at hand to the best looking design.
I would cut back the remaining trunk to two or tree leafs over the first branch to stimulate backbudding. And as soon as weather permits mowing it outside to collect that extra energy needed.
名媛直播 is the art of creating an image of an old natural tree in miniature form. Take a close look at the tree and ask yourself, does it look like a tree in nature? If the answer is no, its not a bonsai, just a tree in a pot.
Now compare the tree at hand with a natural tree. What needs to be done to make it look natural? For ficus ginseng, that is really hard even for the most experienced artist. However, not impossible. I have seen a few that have made it at least to the prebonsai stage. It demands some really advanced wood carving techniques and risks the life of the tree every time.
For a beginner, I would suggest stop calling it a bonsai and grow it like a tree in a pot.
