Is it possible to create a bonsai from a Hicks yew or Silberlocke Korean fir?

It is possible to create a bonsai out of any tree.

Usually I agree with Tropfrog so well there is no need to comment.
Any tree can be made into a bonsai. Well, yes, but you have to be in the right climate, you have to know the specific tree species, etc. Nobody in Alabama has made a larch survive more than one winter. They need months of winter and our couple of days of frost just isn't enough.
Look up the climate where those trees originated. The further you are from that the harder it will be. Firs usually want winter, and a name like Siberian probably means long hard winter. If you don't have that, the trees won't do very well and probably won't survive.
