Hello,
a year and a half ago I started to growing two Pines from seed on.
I didn't knew much about these Plants but I tried my best with internet research.
The year it grew and looked pretty healthy but now after the winter(it gets -10°C here) when I put the plants inside they dont look healthy anymore.
one is looking really bad:
the other also had better times:
The plants are now outside on a very sunny spot again since it doesnt freeze over night anymore.
Im here to ask if you can tell me if my plants are dead or still alive and when they are alive how can I get healthy again?
I attached some pictures from today.
Thank you very much in advance!

The right one serms to have a slight chanse of survival. The problem is that pines are temperate trees. They need their winter dormancy or they die. Do not bring temperate trees inside ever.
You say they were sown 1,5 years ago. That is the worst time of the year to sow hardy trees. The natural cycle is to sprout in spring. Actually I am supriced that there are still some traces of life left in them after two missed winter dormancy. Now, just leave them outside and never bring them indoors again.
If you wich to try another time but better. Get some seeds now, its the perfect time to sow in most of the northern hemisphere. Sow them in big pots or in ground and do not transplant to bonsai pots until you are happy with the trunk thickness. That is at least 5 years, but proboably more than 10 depending on your final design. The first years you are just growing trees, not bonsai.
If yoy want to start your binsai Journey earlier, go to a local garden center and get yourself some decent hardy starter materials. Not the ones sold as bonsai, but those sold as garden trees.

First of All thanks for your Reply!
Well I got the seed 1,5 years ago so the first little sapling I planted on January/February.
Should I do anything else beside letting them outside? Getting a bigger pot or something?
Should I remove the dead one?

Right now, just put outside and give water when dry.

Also watch out with full sun in the first two weeks, because it was indoors.
A winter with -10c does not hurt the pine. Leave it outside next time, but out of the wind.

Great Rorror. Thanks for pointing that out. Slowly transition to full sun is the key.

Thanks again. I will do that, but I think the other one is already dead too since there is only little green on the top...

Could possible still be alive, wait a few months before composting them.
