Hi everyone, please help me. I have a Japanese Cedar. I live in S.E. Qld australia so its hot here. I had the tree inside in front of an east facing open widow very breazy. it was doing great. i water it most days and it has gone half brown so i put it outside on a west facing deck, afternoon sun, but mostly in the shade and cut the dead brown off and water it daily letting the water drain through the pot. Will it completely die or will it be ok now

thanks for your help and advice Vicki

It might. Or not. Bit hard to tell really. We do not know what hot means to you. We do not know what "halfbrown" means to you. We do not know what the plant is growing in.

The dead should be removed, most looks as if it has been caused by lack of light to the inside. Keep it well watered and it should be fine, but do not take it back inside. Some shade in the afternoon will help as well.
