Golden Gate Ficus threw a tantrum

Hi all! I'm kinda new to properly taking care of bonsais. I've had them for years with varying levels of success, with my golden gate being the most successful, but I've never actually sought advice. I'm thinking I need some now though. in 2020 I moved my golden gate to a different window because it was very cold, and it did not like that. Within a week half the leaves on one side fell off. And here I am over a year later and nothing has grown back on those branches. The rest is doing brilliantly though. So do I consider the bare branches dead and chop them off? Or is there something I can do? Any help would be tremendously appreciated. Thank you!

Are the bare branches brittle? Do they have brown tips? In that care they are most likely dead. Snip a tip and if you see no white sap coming, but rather dry insides, it is dead. You can reduce the bare branches then.
If you do it in steps, every time checking whether sap comes out, you will eventually get to the point where it is still alive.
Putting it oustide in summer will help getting this stronger.

The branches aren't brittle, but the tips are a brown and so far there is no white sap. I will continue to snip a little at a time. Thank you!
