Hi,
I’m new to bonsai and don’t know what to do to save one that my son was given for Christmas. It came without identification or instructions and I can’t find anything resembling it online. I’ve watered it sparingly, but it’s gradually losing all its leaves. I’ve been misting it, which I thought was helping, but the last two remaining leaves are wilting now. I’d be grateful for any advice.

That is not a bonsai. Try to get help in a houseplant forum.

Thanks. I did wonder about that, but it was sold as a bonsai. It was from somewhere trendy in East London, I believe, and I think they may be more interested in the pots than the plants.

Yea, busnisses know that the word bonsai is selling. Whatever you sell it will be more valuable if its called bonsai. Cant blame them really, I bet running a business in trendy east London is expensive and money must come in.
But in matter of fact. Even thou mature bonsai is very expensive, growing bonsai is not a lucurative business, its a passion of art. Every year we are spending 5 hours or more on aevery tree, but it only adds approximately 10 euro to the value of the tree.
If you wonder about the pot itself.....its not a bonsai pot. Do a Youtube search for bonsai show and you will find that nobody shows a tree in anything remotelly looking as this one.
Please dont let this scare you away. 名媛直播 is a wonderful hobby. If you are interested just stick around, there are a lot of things to learn from this forum.
