Just be aware those dwarf spruces grow very slow. So make sure not to cut to much foilage away.

Hey leatherback and Rorror, I received a "care guide" alongside the bonsai from the company which sold it, all it told me on there was "norway spruce". I'm still new to it all, I had no idea there was even different variations of the tree, that being said I do think the tree looks quite like a Picea Pungens (could be wrong), from what I can see it has the new needles as buds first, which on my bonsai it has similar looking new buds as the new needles start to come out and the actual needles themselves look very similar too. It does also look like a little gem as you pointed out Rorror, so I'm not entirely sure what it is. Would a picture of the branches and trunk help identify it?
