Hi everyone,
I got a JWP two months ago and ever since it arrived in the summer, the needles started to brown. I've attached images of the tree from today, it's not looking good. Is this tree a goner? Wonder if overwatering is the culprit. I've since stop watering it, waiting for soil to completely dry before watering.
I live in Shanghai, China (Hardiness Zone 9A) and summer temp flux between 30-38C (86-100F). During the hottest days in the summer, I water it daily. As the temperature cools in the fall, I water it as soon as I see surface soil dries out, about once every 3 days. Not sure exactly what went wrong. My guess is that I've overwatered it?
Any suggestions or opinions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I do believe this one is gone. But I would wait until spring flush to see if anything happens. Just dont have too high hope.

In a similar temperature here, I watered every morning and very often in the afternoon, too. Underwatering may have been the problem, particularly if it tried out while the sun was shining hot in the afternoon.
