Hello,
Is it normal for my hornbeam to look like this? For me, it doesn't seem to have autumn colors or something. The leaves are a bit crusty and brown. I don't know if it's because autumn or something else. What do you think, judging from the pictures?

If it was my tree and here in the cold north I would not worry. The season is coming to an end and leafs will fall soon anyway. The new buds that will be next years leafs looks healthy.

This browning is a sign of lack of water and/or over fertilizing. I suspect lack of water.
