you might find it difficult to keep a chinese elm in a climate without a winter and summers that are really hot... as they need considerably more humidity than that.. you might be able to keep the tree alive indoors... but it won't thrive. have a look at some of the species that grow where you live.. if they are suitible for bonsai...

Elms are tough. But the one you have there looks like it spent a lot of time in a very friendly environment. Bringing it outside in your current weather is a good way to loose the tree.
Look into finding a local club to get local advice. I am not aware of people on this forum growing trees in your sort of climate, this the advice you get does not fit your reality.
