Juniper dying?! was created by Vgeorgeteo

Dear all,

I have recently bought a red cedar juniper. I've changed the substrate with a mix of anorganic, pine bark, sand and organic. I've placed the tree outdoors.

I did some structural pruning and wiring, as you can see in the photos. I did not prune all of the branches that I wanted to, because I feared overpruning- especially because it's mid summer where I live-.
The next day the tips of the remaining branches have starting to dry and fall of. Moreover, I've noticed the browning of the small branches, that you can also see in the photos.

Is the tree dying? Have I overpruned? Any help or suggestion for the future is welcomed.

Thank you!

Repotting, wiering and prunning all at once in the wrong time of the year is why it is weak. Just place it in shade, give it good care and hope for recovery.

For next tree, just let it grow for a year or two before doing any work on it. When you do work on it, do Just one thing per year and do it in the right time of the year. 名媛直播 is a maraton, not a sprint.
