Hi all, I'm beginner grower and need advice. My spruce is growing well, only planted 2 weeks ago but the seed is at top. Is this ok or is there anything I will need to do? Any help will be appreciated.

Hello and welcome
It needs to be outside, inside it will die.
I do hope you are not expecting a bonsai growing out of that seedling?

This was a bonsai starter kit and I have just followed the instructions. Why do you think it won't grow a bonsai?

bonsai is not a species. As such, there is no such thing as bonsai seed. You have tree seeds. Trees grow out of it. It is up to you to turn that into bonsai.

That's what I thought. Just a seed that has germinated

Put it outside. It needs the nutrients that every tree needs.

Normally the seedskin would fall off during / soon after germination. Wait a little bit to see whether it pushes it off. Problem is, pulling it off, normally means, pulling of half the seedling including the only growing tip and it will die. :(

Thanks everyone for feedback. Gonna let mother nature do her thing. I will get it outdoors once I get it in a suitable pot. It's on a South facing window with plenty of natural light and I'm watering using rain water.
Would normal compost do at this early stage?
