Hi everyone,
I am hoping to find an answer here since the internet was not of any help.
I have a fairly mature Chinese Elm. About 15 years old according to the seller. I already have a couple Junipers that are doing great and wanted to challenge myself with a new, more mature tree. Everything seems to be going great. Although, I noticed a bit of sap on the trunk from a place I had not pruned. I have wound paste if needed. Although. I had my tree outside and the trunk turned very green very quickly. I know I don't have any infestation from insects. Could this be some infection on the trunk? I have attached pictures with and without flash. This happened very quickly to the trunk and has caused concern. I have attached the pictures to this thread.
Does anyone have an explanation/solution if this is a serious issue? I really hope I haven't killed this tree. Any advise would be appreciated!
Thanks

I am really not sure what you think you are seeing.
The tree seems to have very few leaves, but the trunk lokos normal
