I have been taking good care of this elm for a few months now but I was away from home for 2 days and came back to my bonsai having dried up and curling leaves. I have checked the branches but they still appear to be green under.
I have been watering my bonsai the same way I have for the past few months and it looked really healthy with green leaves until now.
I am worried that the bonsai is dying and need help on what I should do to save it.

all you can do is water as normal (do NOT overwater it now to compensate!) and do not fertilize. Wait.

Is this caused from under-watering?? I was worried that it might have some sort of disease but I will water it as I usually do and I'll keep a close eye on it as I'm relatively new to bonsai. Thanks for the help.

It looks like it could be another "indoor" tree that is suffering from low humidity. Would not be suppriced if the central heating system kicked in when you were away and dryed up the air.
Elms do best outdoors all the time with some protection in case of prolonged time with deep frost.
