Ginseng ficus stagnant - not growing new leaves? was created by flyingfishfinger

Hi,
I'm trying to figure out what state my ginseng ficus is in. About 2-3 years ago it had spider mites and dropped a bunch of leaves (which I'm pretty sure I took care of), but it hasn't been doing well in the past year or two.

The main thing I'm curious about is that it hasn't grown any new leaves or shoots for a couple of seasons now, whereas I distinctly remember a few years ago it had several periods of vigorous growth. The leaves it DOES have look healthy, but it hasn't grown any more. There are small buds at the tips of each branch, but they've looked the same way for over a year now and haven't expanded into new leaves.

I've repotted it back into its original pot twice since I've had it (3 years, which I believe makes it 7 years old now) and noticed that it was root-bound both times. I'm pretty sure that after the first time it grew nicely, so I figured that the reason it wasn't growing more was that it was constrained so I repotted and trimmed the roots again a few months ago.

I did notice that the ROOTS have grown a bit since then, but no new leaves, buds or opening of the "stagnant" buds is happening.

Is the pot too small? I'd like it NOT to grow much bigger than it is now, but it would be nice if it would fill out a bit.

I keep it evenly moist and fertilize every couple of months with Uncle Bill's 名媛直播 Brew, but it is kept indoors because here in San Francisco the outside varies from overcast to cold and foggy to (sometimes) nice and hot.

Any ideas are welcome...

Thanks,
Rafael

Put it outside and leave it there as long as temperature is above 10c.

It can get below 10C at night without warning for one, and also I don't really have outdoor space to put it.

It's never been outside though, and definitely has grown leaves indoors before...
