Hey I've got me this beautiful sweet little Chinese Juniper and it came in today. But bought it with the intention to grow it bigger and thicken the Trunk. How can I achieve some good growth? Unfortunately I can not put it into the ground because I live in the city, but im asking myself what sized pot and what Kind of Soil would be best for some good Growth the next years. And also, if should repot it into a bigger Pot, should I do it now or wait for Spring?

That is a nice shohin Juniper, it would ruin it to try to grow bigger. It has been grown that size on purpose. If you want a bigger tree get another that is already taller and not styled and grow it on to the size you want it to be.

You can't make it grow bigger. It will grow itself. At the end of the day, it's a plant. But if you're asking if you can fertilize it so it could have nutrients to encourage growth, you can during the growing season (spring and summer). Just don't fertilize too often. Read the instructions on a bonsai fertilizer bottle.

Fertiliser alone will not make the tree grow bigger, it would have to go into a larger pot, but It is such a nice tree that it would spoil it to do that. Keep it that size, or give it to me I would love to have it

I'm with you here! of all the "small" junipers we see here, this one is actually has earned the name bonsai. Of course it needs more training etc, but it has a good trunk, it has branch structure that fits it's size, is nice to look at, and is in a position to be further styled because it seems to be growing well!
