Recently shipped juniper in direct sun?

I recently received a juniper that was shipped from CA to MD. Should I be putting it in shade to let it adjust to MD weather, or should I give it as much sun as possible? Also, I noticed some branches have small browning/yellowing. Is this anything to be concerned about or is this just because of the shipping?

A picture might help.
Second , this is an international forum so your local abbreviations mean nothing to anybody not living in wherever you are.

Sorry forgot about the abbreviations. It shipped from California to Maryland, which is across the U.S., with Maryland being quite a bit hotter than California right now.
Here are some pictures of the tree and the slight yellowing that I had questions about.

The yellowing look like normal aging of foliage. The foliage at some point is too old and the plant kicks it off.

I see, that's good to hear. Since that is the case, should I give the juniper as much sun as possible, or still avoid extreme sun in order to acclimate?

I am normally not that concerned. But you could give it a week of dappled sun before moving it in the sun again.
