Hi Folks
I would very much like to take some cuttings from my Dawn Redwood.
Will cuttings from soft reasonably new shoots work in July or am I better to wait until the winter and take cuttings from harder wood?
What is the best approach to taking cuttings?
Has anyone been successful at taking cuttings in July and is there any good information/videos out there on this subject.
Thanks in advance for your replies.

I have had luck with hardwood cuttings (pencil tickniss) in winter.(around okt in the netherlands)
Other attemps in spring/summer failed for me.
