Hi, last March i was gifted a bonsai and i was told it was a type of cypress. I got some books to learn and made some research on the internet... well i don't think it's a cypress at all and i don't know how to indetify it can someone help?? Also when they gave it to me it already had dark ends on the leaves so i brought it at the store they told me they bought it and the seller explained that i didn't water it enough so after that i followed their advices but now after less then a month my bonsai doesn't have leaves anymore!! I really don't know what the cause of it can be or if it's normal because of the species. I'll attach some photos if someone has any clue.Thank you so much in advance.

And it is not a cypress. They are conifers. The tree on the pictures is broadleaved.

Perhaps it is some kind of citrus, almost sounds like cypress.

Yup, dead tree. Keeping it inside killed it.
