Hello again everyone.

I was out shopping at a local nursery for some interesting plants that I could start working on and I came across this lovely little tree.

I have always loved seeing large versions of this tree growing around Bangkok because the branches grow in near perfect flat pads. Large specimens are just stunning to sit under.

Unfortunately, I’ve never been able to get an English identification of this tree.

The people running the nursery advised that they are extremely hardy and they usually will just let them grow naturally in small pots and not do to much adjusting as they look like their adult counterparts when they are small.

I have an idea though that I want to try where I curve the trunk and develop linear pads that follow the curve.

Can anyone help with an ID?

Looks nice, just be patient, and keep it going. Who cares what it is, I'd treat it like a boxwood, ... but then
