No leafs after trimming bonsai

Hello!
I've had my bonsai tree for over a year now. there have always been lots of leaves. after I trimmed it quite a bit, there are very rarely leaves or no leaves. has been like that for 2 months now. what can I do? Thank you!!

Hmm. Did you cut all the leafs of when prunning or did they fall after the prunning? What species is it? Do you mind sharing a photo?

I cut a lot of leafs and old branches. Not remember the name.

That is a chineese elm, ulmus parvifolia. And it is most likelly dead.

Why should it sudenly die? Same water and light for over a year, and sudenly this just because i have cut it. Make no sens?

And i can see that is coming small leafs some places, but they just Get small and die very fast

Same conditions for over a year is not good for decidious trees. It has died because of lack of winter dormancy. If it is still growing leafs it is obviously not dead yet. If you are in the northern hemisphere, put it outside now. First in shade and then gradually move to full sun.
