Repotting question - Juniper Starter Kit was created by lcase0416

Hello! I'm very new to bonsai and have started with the juniper starter kit. Every thing I've seen so far says to only repot in early spring. Since it is now the end of May, should I keep my new tree in the pot it was shipped in until spring? Or should I transfer it to the pot that came in the kit now? If I need to wait until spring to repot, will the care be any different since it is not in bonsai potting soil?

Thanks so much!

Take it outside, in full sun (dunno where you are, tho), water as needed and don’t do anything else for now.
Now is not the right season, but even if it were the first step is learning how to give proper care to the tree; anything else can only cause harm.

The tree has been produced in that pot and soil. It will do perfectly well one more season in it. What I usually do on newly purshased trees is to slippot into a slightly bigger pot. That gives it some new soil without stressing it from rootwork.
