Two weeks ago i bought a cupressus sapling at a local nursery. I wired it, cut some branches and cut some of the "leaves" (foliage); about 1/3, mabye 2/5. I teased a bit of the rootball and cut, id say, less than 1/3 of the roots. I put the tree back in the pot it was in, with new soil. The soil is common flower soil form a local supermarket (black stuff with some common compost). I watered it once a day, in the morning (10ish o'clock), if the soil was dry; if the soil was wet from the rain or something, id skip the watering. A few days ago i noticed the "leaves" are turning yellow and are withering. I dont know what to do about it. Am i watering it too much or is it too little? Did my wiring do anything to it? (I did wire one thick branch with 3 layers of wire) What can i do to prevent the tree from dying? Or am i just panicking?
Ps: im keeping the tree out of direct sunlight (on the floor of my balcony) because of the transplantation it went through.

Repotting, rootwork, prunning and wiering all at the same time is not advisable. Doing it in the totally wrong time of the year makes it even more troublesome. Your tree might not make it. All you can do is hope.
