Hi, I'm new to bonsai and I just got my first tree a dwarf Jade. I don't have a south-facing window in my house for optimal sunlight so I was thinking of getting a growing light. Anybody have any suggestions for light under 40 dollars and that isn't really ugly. I have a southeast-facing window and I am not really sure if the sunlight from that window will suffice but please let me know if I don't need a growing light at all.
Thanks,
Thanks,

I'm new too but I started with a basic red and blue combo that I didn't like because it made the plant and my other succulents look funky so I switched to this:
Grow Light with Stand, 5500K Tri-Head Plant Light for Indoor Plants, Sunlight Full Spectrum Floor Growing Lamp with 4/8/12H Timer, 5-Level Dimmable & Tripod Stand Adjustable 15-47In, from Amazon.
It's a full spectrum light that I hope will be strong enough for my Elephant Tree. I've only had it since May 9th but, so far, everything is responding really well to it.

That blurple light might be the most efficient light for Photosyntesis. But if you want to look at a beautiful tree its just not an option.
I am changing all my grow lights to dusk tropic. Very nice price, energy effecient and good looking light. The exception is the grow tent were I want maximum growth on cold loving plants, for that I use mars hydro. But I dont grow any bonsai under grow light. Photosyntesis is universal, so no need to target specific need for specific plants.
My jades is growing outdoors in the season and kept cool and dormant without lights in winter.

Ok, well if it works and if it isn’t ugly for a lot of money. I’ll get it, thanks.
