I started training my Chinese juniper last month. It is potted. I haven’t fertilized it yet during this growing season (Spring 2021). Recently, I’ve noticed slight yellowing and a white resin on some of the foliage. Is the health of my tree compromised?

It still looks alive to me, but to so healy, we need the see the full picture of the juniper.

What are the white rocks for? This is a young Juniper, the wire is not doing anything, you might as well take it off. It looks ok otherwise to me

The white rocks are for decoration and to keep moisture. At the time of potting, I only had indoor potting soil which dries quite quickly.
