I've always admired bonsais, but never owned one. Now my brother just purchased a home from a couple that has what looks like a juniper bonsai that's pretty established. Previous owners recommended fertilizing twice a year, don't over water. The tree sits in the middle of the backyard where nothing would block sunlight. It has one section just at the top that looks questionably Brown, with some mild yellowing on some lower branches.

Do we need to be concerned yet?

The browning part is dead foliage. Too late for concern, just prune it off.

Will do. I guess I'm just hoping it's not an indicator that more spots will die... guess we'll see!
