Hello friends,

I recently bought an acer palmatum as my first time to start a bonsai tree. Everything was fine untill today when I spotted the edges of some leaves were yellowish and generally the leaves were looking down. I will attach some images below. I dont know if I am doing something wrong. I fertilized the tree 2 times with a period of 1 month between. Is it the water? Is it the sun ? Thank you for your time.

This is interesting. I never experienced this when I keep my plants outside.

Drying of foliage tips is an indication of the maple not getting enough water to the leaves. coudl be due to wind. Could be due to too little water. Could be due to over fertilizing, could be due to repotting in spring

As LB said, it could be wind, my tought to, also the damage on the leaves could be wind damage duo to the leave hitting the brance (or something else) with every blow of the wind.
So did you have some extreme windy days in the past weeks?

I dont think that we had intense winds these days.. I think that the problem is the second time I fertilized (6 days ago). I think I put too much fertilizer. So in my attempt to rescue the tree I removed the wires, cut the infected leaves, I cleared the surface of the soil with a spoon, and then I flooded the pot to remove as much fertilizer as I could.
