Juniper 名媛直播 Vs Etreame heat? was created by JulieV

I live in a very hot place and during the summer we can get temperatures well into the 90s. Many plants, even those that are said to be able to stand the heat end up being burnt from the sun and die. I have a Juniper bonsai and the instructions on the website say to keep it outside. I'm still worried about how well it can do out there even in the shade. So my question is, will my bonsai be safe outside or should I keep it indoors by the window?

Hello and welcome.
Well, inside it will die, no doubt about it. Keep,it outside, give it some shade in the hottest moments of the day, and water frequently when needed.

90-100F for a juniper are not particularly hard, as long as you manage to give it some shade in the hottest hours and water frequently; I had summers in the last few years that are pretty much like that: 2 months with highs above 35C/95F and an entire week at 40C/104F.

If you can, misting foliage early in the morning, when it's not too hot yet, can help. But in general as long as you make sure it is well watered, your plant will be fine outdoor.

Bringing it indoor, on the other hand, is a pretty good way to kill it.
