Getting Ready For Summer Sun

Hello Everyone,
I hope you are all well. I have a question about placement for junipers and conifers regarding sunlight. I live in growing zone 7A, mid-atlantic US, and my house is positioned on a direct north-south axis. Right now, the junipers and conifers are getting direct sunlight up to around 11:30am EST and then shade from then through the rest of the day. My question is: should I place them on the north side of the house so they get direct afternoon sun from about 3pm until around 730 instead? I am concerned because I don't want them to dry out and die from getting sun (yes they are being watered about every 3-4 days at this time) so I want to be ready for this summer. However I have noticed that it's hard to balance with with the watering because I don't want to overwater and give cause for rot, which has happened before. Any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

I water my junipers at least once a day in summer. When temps come up, twice a day. And they are in as much sun as they can get. In summer from about 10AM to sundown.
Rootrot is one of those misunderstood things. It does not come from overwatering. Roots CAN die from too much water. But the rotting sets in after that. If you have an open substrate, so not a full-organic dense muck, you have to work hard to water too much. More likely, drying out off the rootball let roots die, which start to rot when watered again.
