Hey, folks! Hope you're having a great day so far.
I wanted to post this here, in order to get some and and advice on how to handle my problem described above.
I bought this Ficus Benjamina probably a bit more than two years ago from an ordinary nursery. It had beautiful, thick and dense foliage. Last year, I went abroad to South Africa and gave the plant to my parents for that period of time. When I came back, it basically looked very sparse, lost a ton of its leaves and so on. 6 months ago, when I came back from my year abroad, I thought it was because we were going towards winter in the northern hemisphere at that time, as well as a lack of nutrients it was suffering from the year before. Now, 6 months later again after fertilising, more sunlight etc. the situation doesn't seem to improve, so I was wondering if any of you guys might have some good suggestions on how to deal with this now. Any tips and tricks? Maybe something drastic like a trunk chop (if so, where?). I am also btw. misting the tree several times a day, and it's located in a room with 50-60% of humidity. As soon as it is summer, I'll bring it out but for now temperatures are yet too cold to do so.
I absolutely appreciate your time, as well as you reading this and I am looking forward to seeing some tips and comments on how to proceed now.
Have a lovely day, cheers!

Does not look too bad. I think it will bounce back as soon as it comes outside.
It may benefit from repotting, but I cannot tell If its strong enough or if it is the right time.

Hi, thanks for the reply! We are currently in mid/late spring, so I assume I could still give it a shot. Otherwise I will just have to wait until the weather gets a bit warmer so that I can put it outside.
