Hi all

Need some help. I have had this Japanese white pine for about 12 months now. Has been a very vigorous and healthy plant until now. It is kept outside and gets around 8 hours sun. I water it relatively sparsely and it is in very free draining soil.

In the last few weeks, one side of the tree in particular has a lot of brown/black needles (see photo attached)

Anyone have any ides what may be happening

Looks like a dead branch to me. Proboably damaged when wired.

Got a picture of the entire plant?
Other side is good?

I've attached a picture of the whole tree. It certainly has some yellow needles, but none of the black ones.
