Hello bonsai people,
My japanese cedar has to look a little ill and I don't know what to do. The tips of the top leaves have gone pale with tiny black spots. It is getting into winter where I live, could this be due to the cold? what should I do?

I've had the plant for a 6 months no - although I bought it fully grown. I keep it inside by a sunny window and I water it every other day in the winter and every day in the summer.

I had a hunsh. Your tree will need to go outside and get a cold dormancy in order to survive. Keeping it indoors all summer has lower the odds significally.

Had the same hunch. Outside with it, where it belongs. There is no such thing as an indoor tree.
Also, do not water on a schedule but watch the soil, and water when it dries out a bit.

I generally leave the window the bonsai is next to open day and night and only recently starting closing it perhaps this wasn't enought. I'll put it outside and cross my fingers! Thanks for the help.
