From couple of weeks ago the leaves and tree in general looks like sad, like leaves are turning down. Any one knows what is happening?

I think it is suffering from poor conditions. Trees are not happy in livingroom conditions. Just put it outside and there is a good chanse of survival. Chinese elms can take a lot of abuse.

Impossible to judge what is going on from what you show us.

Could you please provide a bit of information? How do you care for it, how long have you had this. Was it exposed to frost? Indoor for winter, or outside. How is the sun exposure etcetc.

Meanwhile.., it should be outside. In the current state, not in full sun. Do not let it freeze in its current state. Be mindfull when watering. When watering, a proper full-rootball watering, then waiting for the soil to get near-dry.
