Is it still salvageable?

I admit that I got a bit carried away with work and neglected my ficus a bit. I think the longest it went without watering was a week during the snowstorm that we had in the states this past February.
I took the gravel it had on top of the soil and replaced it with potting soil. I’ve done a bit better at keeping it evenly moist on a regular basis, but it keeps losing a lot of leaves and some of them aren’t looking to great either.
Any thoughts?

It looks very dry, it is alive but stressed. Not surprising that it is losing leaves in the circumstances

I should just continue keeping it moist for a while then? I was going to put it into a bright and humid area to help it revive.

Yes that is what I would do. You gotta watch it closely though.
