Hi all,
My name is Nick and I’m new here. I just got a bougainvillea and it has a huge root (see pics) that is is about 3” x 3” depth solidity the bottom. What should I do with this root when I repot? I like how it looks but is it taking away from the tree growth?
Also I got some substrate mix (see pic for contents), do I need to mix dirt in with it?

I would be tempted to try to make that big root a feature by potting the whole tree a little higher, and cleaning the moss off gently with a toothbrush.

BTW, I dont have bougainvillea and have no knowledge of it's culture, but Nick's soil advice is good.
