I recently bought a willow leaf ficus. After a few days of having it home, it's shedding leaves at am alarming rate. I've but it by a window and am watching the soil to check for watering. Any other suggestions to try and save this plant

I have a willow leaf ficus that spends the summer outdoors. In the fall when temps about to drop below 50F/10C I bring it in and a week later the floor under it is covered with dead leaves.

Probably yours is experiencing mild shock and will do just fine. Water it when the soli is dry and make sure it drains well, and does not sit in water.
