Hey,
I have this pine and I tried bending it and I snapped the trunk by accident. I was wondering as it has lots of branches, could I plant the whole plant in the soil and just leave the branches poking out. Then grow each branch as a single tree to make a forest look, is this possible? Or any other ideas you have for this plant would be grateful. I have attached a photo

Without a picture to see the damage and also the species it is not possible to say. But I don't think it will work, if you are thinking of a raft then it might be possible to lay it down and wire the branched up, but if the branches are that brittle then it may not be possible.

It is a strange species, I don't know what it might be. I did not realise it is in the ground either. The branch that is dead needs to be cut off, I don't think what you suggested will work, I think it needs to be in a pot or box and then be pruned etc.

Yeah it’s some sort of pine. this plant isn’t even a year old yet.
So I tried twisting the trunk and then was going to plant it in a pot .
I’m also not sure weather it’ll become less bushy as it matures.
I’ll let it grow abit more and then see what I can do with it.
Thanks for your help

This pine plant is pinus wallichiana (Himalayan blue pine) which is common near the Himalayan range in Asia
