Hello,
I am reaching out to this group to see if someone can help me determine the problem with my juniper. I have been raising my juniper for about 1 year. The first 6 months it was outdoors and there were no problems.
I relocated and had to raise my juniper indoors by a window. I have also installed grow lights used daily for at least 9 hours. The pot is watered regularly and checked for over-watering.
However, in the past couple of months I noticed some of the needle "tips" turning brown. I am worried about losing my baby!
I have attached a photo of the tree to help view the problem.
Thank you,
George Gonzalez

Hello and welcome.
Your picture isn’t visible, but without seeing the tree I can tell that placing it inside caused the problem.
There is no such thing as an indoor tree, some ( tropical species) can be kept in a not heated room for a while till they can be placed outside again. But conifers, pines and junipers like yours can’t and just die inside.
So, if you can’t place it outside, you will have a dead tree soon, no grow light can change that.

I was hoping that would not be the case and will have to see if someone will allow me to babysit my tree until we are back in a house.
Thank you very much for your prompt reply!
