Soil drying, leaved yellowing and dropping was created by Henrygriffin789

Hi,
I recently bought two ficus retusa trees, they have been kept in the same environment (a bright room with a large east and south facing windows) one tree seems to be doing fine but the other's leaves have started to turn yellow and dropping off. The soil is also drying out alot quicker, it will be dry in a few days. It may be that it just needs watering more but I'm just quite confused as to why when the other is doing so well.
In the photo below, the one I'm struggling with is on the right
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not every ficus behaves the same even if there having the same conditions. Some yellowing leaves are ok in Winter. They also can get yellowing leaves when chaging there position. For example from one corner of the room to a other corner.
I would suggest watering some more, as the soil seems already a bit to dry. Also water until water starts pooring out of the drainage holes, repeat a few minutres later. So you are sure, that every corner of the soil has moist in it. If you only top water a little bit, then roots in corners will start to try out. And if they dry out, other parts of the roots may not take up enough water to supply all the leaves. Then they can drop too. When the ficus is not growing, there is no need for firtilizer.
That said, it's almost spring, when it's nice weather put them outside(harden off first), as they grow stronger to get back indoors for the next winter.
