I carefully removed this sprout trying not to damage the roots and it turns out to be a bulb (also not introduced by me) that I repotted. The leaves aren't getting better. I moved it under grow lights and mist and water regularly but it is not getting any better. Do you have any tip?
This is how it looks:

I will repot it soon using a mix 60% Akadama 40 % Pumice.
Many thanks.

1. Temperature is stable in my living room, between 19°-20.5° C. It's not near a a window or a heating source.
2. Light is stable too now. It's has been under a grow light for the last 2 weeks on a 12 hours a day basis.
3. Humidity: I keep a humidity trail (don't know how useful this is) and mist it daily.
I will maintain the stability in these 3 parameters, unless you recommend any change.
Btw, I also saw new roots poking under the pot holes (they were not wired when I received it). Is this a good sign?
Cheers.

If it’s a sageratia: it’s almost impossible to keep alive in our climate, 99% of them die within weeks.
You can forget about the humidity tray and the misting, they do nothing for the humidity.

These are pictures of it when I received it and I asked for help in a different forum. I was advised that it was Sageteria but I cannot fully confirm.
It was doing ok until the sprout came ( ) and I later removed it.

1: temperature is far too high for winter/spring. I recently increased my nighttime temp from 5 to 7. Daytime it can go as far as 15 when sun is on.
2: 12 hours a day says nothing. Its the total sun energy it gets that counts. Download a sheap lumen meter to your phone or tablet. Go outside a sunny day and take measurement, then go to your tree and measure what it gets. Do you still think that the tree gets enough light after that?
1 and 2: there is a relation betweens light and temperature. The warmer it is the more light is needed. But at the same time lamps that are sufficient for living room temperature will increase heat more. That is why I prefere cold and natural light in winter. As soon as night temperature is above 5c they will go out.
3: Humidity trays does nothing in central heated living room conditions.
Btw: if roots is growing that is a good sign.

All the (sub) tropical species are notoriously difficult to keep inside( well , there is no such thing as an indoor tree really), our houses are too dry, too hot, not enough light and ventilation. Removing the sprout has nothing to do with it dying . If it survives till spring ( which I doubt )outside with it as soon as night temps do not drop below 5-10 degrees.

I will check the light meter app, good suggestion.
As for moving it outside, I think it will need to wait until mid April at least, Brussels weather is rather cold at night. Maybe I can move it outside during daylight and back inside at nighttime but I'm not confident it this is good for it.

Not at all, the sageretia needs cooler nights and warmer days, so exactly the opposite of what you want to do.
I am near Antwerp, i know the weather here ( my trees are always outside btw)
