So I just recently obtained Japanese Red Maple seeds in the mail. They are dry. My question is, since they usually need to be stratified for 3 months before spring and it is nearly spring, do I need to do that stratification? I'm assuming I do, but should I do it for the rest of March and plant in April or should I do the full 3 months, then plant?

Depends on storage etc.
If they were stored dry, you might need to add 30-60 days warm stratification.
Ask the seller.

soak them overnight in a bowl of water, plant them in fresh potting soil the next day, keep them outside in the warmth and water once a day.

Thanks, everyone! I put 10 to soak for 24 hours. I was thinking I would put 5 in the fridge for a month, then plant the other 5 and see what happens.
I'll keep everyone updated.
I have serious knowledge as to how old they are and how long they have been dry.
