Hi all, I’ve got this tree the other day and I was hoping you could help me with two things:
Is the most on the truck on?
Shall I remove the wire? (Don’t know when it was done)
Thanks

Moss growing on the trunk of a tree is not at all beneficial for the tree. Take the moss off and clean the trunk carefully. If the wire is not biting the tree/bark I would leave it a few weeks into spring. Just so one is sure it has done its job.

Hello Orevem, welcome to the community,
ignore what lucR wrote, he always says the same thing to every post.
so, your question about the moss growing on the trunk is a valid one, consider though that the moss may lead to the bark rotting and falling off so too much is not good. over the nebari (surface roots) is quite enough but everybody has their own taste!
Remove the wire if you see that it is cutting into the tree because it will leave a mark otherwise which is aesthetically not pleasing.
Goodluck
