Carmona Retusa in urgent need of some help was created by Matilde

Hi!
A few weeks ago I got my first 名媛直播 tree. It's a Carmona Retusa and it looked very healthy and happy when I first got it.
Unfortunately there was some miscommunication between my mom and me, so she didn't water it for about a five days, while I was gone.
Now its leaves look dry and they very easily falls off when you touch them. I suspects that they're dead. (I've attached pictures)
I am currently watering it frequently when ever the soil is drying out (about every other day) and I give it a few sprays of water before going to bed every night.
I was thinking about removing all the dead leaves (which is about every single leave), but I don't know if it'll make any difference in its healing process, or if it's even possible for it to recover?
Is there anyway I can save it, or is it already dead?

Happy Sunday! :)

Hello and welcome.
Well.. you'r the umptieth person here with a dead/dying Carmona. Despite it's label saying that it's a beginners tree, easy to mantain and indoor it's far from that. Even experienced bonsai owners stay far away from "indoor " trees ( there is no such thing as an indoor tree), let alone from a Carmona. Unless you live in the tropics where it can be placed outside, or where humidity/temp is high enough this tree is going to die, it's a simple as that.

Ohhh, thank you so much! I'll stay away from indoor bonsai trees from now on.
Is it possible to have an outdoor bonsai tree if you don't live in the tropics?

Of course- are there trees in your neighbourhood...?
My explanation was to stay away from socalled indoor bonsai.
Trees live outdoors, bonsai are trees thus... they need to be outdoors, where they will thrive. The easiest way to start is to go into your local forest, see which trees live there, and choose a bonsai out of these species. Native/local trees are used to your local climate.

The art of bonsai was developted/refined in Japan. Althou there are areas in japan concidered tropic, it is not where most bonsai artists is located. They are all in temperate regions with distinct 4 seasons. I would be suppriced to find a carmona bonsai tree in japan. So sure you can do bonsai outside off the tropics. I do bonsai in Sweden.
