The Chinese elm looks healthy, but completely stopped growing was created by andrius

Hi,

A Chinese elm tree that I got 3 months ago, which was shooting up, growing new branches fast, has completely stopped growing and it hasn't changed in the last 2 weeks. To my eye, it looks healthy. The buds which it has started before the slow down are still green and alive, but just not growing.

Does anyone know what could be a problem?

I keep the tree indoors. It gets 4-5 hours of direct sun light per day. I feed it once every two weeks. I live in the Netherlands, so here is a begging of a spring time.

Your tree needs to be outside where it belongs. Trees die inside, it’s as simple as that. There is no such thing as an indoor tree.
You didn’t “ feed “ it, you fertilised it ( trees feed on sunshine) , and you should not do that to an unhealthy tree.
So, outside with it and it will do just fine.
Je weet dat er ook een Nederlandse afdeling is (bonsaiempire.nl) ?
