Hello, I just got my very first bonsai two weeks ago and I'm here to learn from you guys (sifu). Based on research, I believe this tree is under Buxus family but not sure which species it is. The tree been sitting outdoor since day 1 and expose to morning sunlight for 4 hours. As for the water schedule, there's no fixed routine; I will water them from top to bottom if the soil start to feel dry.

Appreciate if you guys could provide feedback on the condition of the plant, what need to be take care of and what I should and shouldn't be doing to keep this tree grow healthy? Thank you!

Tree looks healthy and your care regime sounds good. Broom style is a very hard style to make a good quality bonsai. Read up a lot and study your tree for a while before any styling.
