These are both of the trees that i have started with. I am about a week into this and after getting a potted cutting from a small local nursery (on the right, which i made a sort of upright shape) I deciced to go get a pre bonsai juniper and do some things. Really wasnt sure how to approach a double trunk but curious is anyone has advice for my trees. I have realized that I may have pruned too much and yeah basically need advice or maybe someone to tell me im not too far off track? not sure but thought id ask.

I think the small one looks really cute. Very good job for first try! The only flaw that I can see is the "handlebar" branches. Two branches at the same place on the trunk is not desirable in bonsai and can create inverse taper on the trunk.

The big on is hard to say anything about other than it seems like you started with a very hard material. Come back in a year and show the progress. Maybe oportunities arise over the season?

Nice.
The smaller one seems like having some room on the pot for growing a bit, and if you want to make it a small one it's just a matter of time...

About the Double-trunk style "sokan", I would definitely try that, but even been on that for over a decade, I'm a begginer, even more when talking about conifers, I'm learning a lot here just by reading from other's experiences and progressions. So that's just my begginer's view.
So I know that for double-trunk, one of them is always bigger, and yes, they grow apart, but it's like they point the same direction eventually. Search for some sokan images for inspiration.

For training bigger and thicker, you'll need to put on a bigger pot for some time, but not now, let them roots grow.
Many people (including me) start thinking that they can keep pruning and the trunk will get thicker soon, but the trunk will only thicken if the plant grows, so with more branches and more leaves, scales or needles the tree will need to thicken in order to flow all that sap.

Albas thank you for helping out! Looking at the Sokan images I really have started to see the traditional style of double trunk. With that in mind I have changed the style to have a different feel and will post an update when its in a better place. I realized that I had been shaping the tree to what looks good now, and not necessarily what is best for the tree in the long run and over pruned. In hindsight I think cultivating the size in a nursery pot without trimming would have been a better choice over all.
